The San Antonio Ragtime Society is a group that enjoys that great American, syncopated,mostly piano, music.

We get together on even numbered months for a free and open to the public "meeting" for want of a better term, but these are not for conducting business, but rather for listening to ragtime. In addition to hearing and playing ragtime, you can hear about other ragtime events in San Antonio and other states as well. You can find sources for ragtime music and recordings, piano teachers and learn about other resources.

In November we sponsor a concert and contest for young ragtimers. On Saturday the guest artist we bring in will judge the contest, then play a concert on Sunday opened by our young ragtimers.

In May we sponsor a Ragtime Festival, bringing in five guest pianists to Market Square for two days of free ragtime music in downtown San Antonio.
