MONTY'S AIRCRAFT HANGER MUSIC - REMINDER: On Saturday, June 28,
SARS member Monty Suffern will again present "MUSIC IN AN AIRCRAFT
HANGER". This event will be held in Waco, TX, and includes dinner and a
concert. Performers are yet to be announced, but will feature some very
talented folks and maybe even a couple surprises! As soon as Monty
sends additional information, we will send it out to everyone.

It was great! The performers were spectacular! And the
downtown venue seemed to work quite well. Many, many THANKS to
everyone who helped out! We couldn't have done it without you! We'd
like to especially mention a few folks. Thanks to Larisa for coming all
the way from California to play for us, and also for giving us
permission to use her "Purple Chicken Rag" as our theme. Thanks to Monty for doing TRIPLE duty... he was a featured performer, the MC
for both days, and he donated a plane ticket for one of our out of town
performers. And Thanks to Cathy for doing such a marvelous job with the
refreshments at the concert/reception... we have never seen so much
purple and so many chickens..... what fun! There is not enough space to
mention everyone who helped, but again, thank you! You are greatly
appreciated!

There are just a few RAGTIME FESTIVAL T-SHIRTS left. If you missed

of the featured performers at the ATJS (Austin Traditional Jazz Society)
All-Star concert on Sunday, June 22. Several of us have attended the

With some 30 kids from area piano teachers, we've almost reached our capacity! The contest is judged by our guest artist for the concert the following day. among the ragtime pianists the club has brought in are Brian Holland (Seven times), Bob Milne, and Michael Stalcup.
